Mission and Purpose of the Brighten Language Center

The mission of Brighten Language Center (BLC) is to provide quality English as a Secondary Language (ESL) to immigrants and international students. The focus of our ESL program is to cultivate students’ linguistic abilities for personal growth and academic studies. We will accomplish this by employing qualified and highly dedicated instructors and utilizing reputable ESL Programs to create an exciting learning experience. BLC also offers its students an all-inclusive support service to ensure a stress-free experience during their stay in the United States.

About BLC

About the Brighten Language Center

Brighten Language Center (BLC) was founded for the purpose of administering quality English as a Secondary Language (ESL) programs to immigrants, international students and business professionals. Our program is well rounded and designed to prepare international students for TOEFL iBT and ISLETS exams in order to transfer to United States based Colleges and Universities. All of our programs are constantly being updated to better serve the needs and interests of our students. Our extensive contact with native and international students has enabled us to design programs that suit individual needs. This institution is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations. 


Chief Executive and Academic Officer: Rody Azar, MHA, RRT-NPS, CertTESOL

Rody Azar has over 10 years of teaching and leadership experience. He holds a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Management along with an Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy.  Rody also earned a certificate for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. 

Rody has lead the Western Area sales organization for a large Medical Device Manufacturing Corporation based in Southern California, through that he has earned extensive leadership and strategic experience that enables him to lead Brighten Language Center (BLC) to desired outcomes. Rody also taught respiratory therapy at a private for-profit career college for over 10 years, through that he has earned the educational experience desired to lead all aspects of BLC’s academic affairs. 

Rody oversees the overall administration of academic and non-academic affairs at BLC. This includes supervision of the COO and faculty. As BLC’s CAO he is responsible for the development of educational programs and curricula, and implementation of the institution’s mission, purpose and objectives. 

Rody designed BLC'S program curriculum along with help from program consultants from Pearson ESL. (English as a Secondary Language). This is a proven program that is currently used by the majority of reputable ESL Schools and has proven to attain desirable results.

Chief Financial Officer: Rami Azar, BS

Rami brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge and experience in starting and running a successful business, as he is the founder, CEO and CFO of a Tutoring Corporation, he founded in 2003. Rami holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. 

In his role as CFO, Rami is primarily responsible for all financial aspects of Brighten Language Center (BLC). including all accounts payable and receivable. He also oversees the work of the accountant and bookkeeping operations to keep an accurate continuous record of the cash and financial position of BLC. 

Chief Operating Officer: Rabih Azar, BS

Rabih has proven to be a highly competent individual with over 10 years of direct experience in the education field and over 6 years heading and leading the operations team at Quality Tutoring Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Management. 

In his role as COO and Campus Director, Rabih is responsible for the administration of business operations of Brighten Language Center (BLC). He is also responsible for administering the daily operations of BLC and shares supervisory role, with the CEO, over all the administrators and faculty.
